We need to talk about BEER! We are chuffed to say we have just extended our Pasty and Pint offer onto our website. So from the comfort of your front room you can order the Cornish meal of champions, namely a proper Cornish Pasty and a can of Cornish gold. We’ve given you a choice between two of our favourite Local Cornish Breweries.

It’s such a great feeling when a customer asks where our beers come from and I get to say that my mates actually made the beer. ‘Shoals Brewery’ in Porthleven, on the south coast and from “over the other side” on the North coast we have ‘St. Ives Brewery’.

‘Shoals Brewery’

Is tucked away in the historic ‘Porthleven Shipyard’. The two people responsible for injecting life back into the old industrial yard are two of Porthlevens’ main instigators of fun, Dai Lawton and Kelvin Batt. I’ve knows these guys for years, we may have partaken of the odd pint or two together, strictly for research purposes obviously. Life is all about balance and that being said we have spent many an hour battling the local surf year in, year out. With Kelvin at the helm of events such as the ‘Masked Ball’ you can imagine, the brewery really has become a hub for incredible music nights, open mike, film nights and with its’ giant indoor wood burner it is the perfect place to warm up after a day in those punishing cold Cornish waves.

‘St. Ives Brewery’

I’m proud to say we were on-board with these guys from the start. Marco’s sheer enthusiasm and passion just immediately won me over and well it’s just cracking beer and as a graphic designer I’m impressed with the aesthetics of their brand. Marco and his wife Hayley have done a cracking job of creating a real destination, perched just behind the Hayle roundabout putting on some great events, brewery tours and epic DJ nights. I’ve had some great afternoons chasing the surf with Marco, again, it’s such a bonus getting to spend time with our partners and knowing them on a personal level.
Whether it’s a craft beer made with hand picked Cornish blackberries, a stout or a dry hopped hazy IPA you’re after they’ve made it!
