Here at Ann’s Pasties, our connection to the Cornish landscape isn’t just a talking point—it’s baked into everything we do. From the rich soil that grows our potatoes and turnips to the lush pastures where our beef cattle graze, the land provides for us every single day.
That’s why we believe it’s our responsibility to give back to the environment that sustains us.We are incredibly proud to announce our recent partnership with Plant One Cornwall, a fantastic Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to bringing woodland back to Cornwall. To support their amazing team and volunteers, we’ve been keeping them fuelled the best way we know how: with a delivery of fresh, hot, crimped-to-perfection pasties.
A proper Cornish pasty is a celebration of local agriculture. When you take a bite of an Ann’s Pasty, you are tasting the literal output of Cornwall’s unique ecosystem.
Because we rely so heavily on the health of our local environment, partnering with Plant One CIC felt like a natural evolution for us.
Tree planting is proper hard work. It involves battling the Cornish weather, trekking across uneven terrain, and spending hours handling spades and saplings.
We knew those volunteers would work up a massive appetite, and frankly, nothing hits the spot after a day in the sun. We boxed up a hearty batch and sent them straight to the planting sites to provide some well-deserved warmth and sustenance.
We are honoured to support Plant One CIC as they grow Cornwall’s future canopy, but they can always use more hands on deck. Whether you want to volunteer for a planting day, donate a tree, or get your own business involved, you can learn more about their incredible work directly on the Plant One Cornwall website.
The next time you enjoy an Ann’s Pasty, take a moment to appreciate the beautiful Cornish countryside. Together, alongside amazing organisations like Plant One, we can make sure it stays vibrant, healthy, and green for centuries to come.
