We’ve crimped thousands of pasties to be eaten locally in vans on wild cliffs and posted boxes of goodies all over the country to keep you all warm and full. We can talk about it now, but for the last year we’ve been waiting with baited breath having received an email request last February from Country Living to do a shoot with Mother and myself. We happily accepted and the feature is now in this December’s issue. ‘Ann Queen of Pasties’. After a tough year for Ann it was incredible to read our proud family history in a stunning spread in what’s considered to be, as the name suggests, a bible of countryside life.
Although in true awkward Cornish son and mother style we were told we needed to at least act like we knew each other in the photo shoot, the photographer said to us smiling. (We’re more comfortable shoulder to shoulder on the crimping bench, than in front of a camera!) Needless to say a big thank you to all of those at ‘Country Living’ that made it happen, it really does make all the hard work worthwhile. Go and ‘av a look at us modelling! From media storm to real storms….I managed to catch some free time and was pulled as all Cornish people are to marvel at the power of our seas, safely of course, but look at these pics:
